LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) is a type of refractive surgery for correcting near-sightedness (myopia), far-sightedness (hyperopia) and astigmatism (an optical defect due to the cornea or lens.) The non-invasive procedure, which is available to many people suffering from these issues, can “free” the patient from glasses or contacts, usually in less than 30 minutes.

LASIK surgery is performed in the Azar Surgery Center in Salisbury by Dr. Emerson Que, who has performed more than 10,000 surgical procedures and was named one of the Ten Most Dependable Laser Eye Surgeons of the United States in Forbes magazine. Follow-up care is provided by your doctor in our Salisbury or Laurel office.

To make an appointment to see if LASIK surgery can free you from glasses and contacts, please call our office at 410/546-2500.
